THE MUSHER

Magali and Jacques PHILIP operate together a kennel of 80 dogs in the Fairbanks area, in Alaska's interior.
Name : Jacques PHILIP Born : June 1956 in France Education : Graduated from medical school in Paris. Degree in sports medicine and compared nutrition. He is now a professional musher and drives the team in the IRMSSSDR. He ran numerous races in the past 20 years.	Name : Magali PHILIP Born : 1969 in France Education : Graduated from tourism school in Paris. She is the handler in the IRMSSSDR, she drives the truck, takes care of the dogs... Her job is as important as the one of the musher for a successful race. She is also North Amican Continental Director for the IFSS (International Federation of Sleddog Sport)

Jacques and Magali live 30 miles south of Fairbanks, Alaska, in a remote area with no electricity or telephone.
