THyperImages is a component for Delphi 3, 4 and 5 that allows you to add hyperimaging capabilities to your applications in a very simple way.
It is a descendant of TCustomPanel that contains a TImage.
You can draw rectangle, ellipse, round rectangle or polygon hotspots (up to 100 vertices per hotspot) and their coordinates are saved in the component. There is no limit to the number of hotspots you can draw on a picture.
You can use it with one picture or let it manage a virtually unlimited number of pictures.
You can Save the list of pictures and their hotspots to the dfm file at design time or to a hsf file at design or ru time.
All graphic formats are supported.
You can generate HTML map code to include the images and hotspots in your HTML documents.
You draw the hotspots at design time in a user friendly Hotspot Editor.
There is also a Delphi expert that writes a mouse event handler for you so that you just have to fill in the code corresponding to what you want to happen when the user clicks on each hotspot. You can set properties to scale the images in the panel, draw the contour of the hotspots or change what happens when the cursor is above a hotspot:
Change its shape , invert the colors of the hotspot or display a hint.
The hotspots editor is not normally not linked to your programs, but you can easily include the editor if you want to.
An empty THyperImages component adds only 80 KB to a blank application
