ISULIK (pronunciation : E’suleek’)
is a L-Carnitine* syrup 40% concentrated that can be given orally or mixed with dog food (we do not recommend to mix ISULIK with water).

The L-Carnitine is an amino-acid, acting in muscle cells at the level of the mitochondrial membrane as a carrier of long chain fatty acids.
It allows fatty acids to penetrate into the mitochondria, and thus increases aerobic energy metabolism and aerobic power for sustained periods.
Since Carnitine promotes fat utilization, muscle glycogen reserves are spared. Glycogen sparing delays the appearance of tiredness and cramps (due to the production of lactic acid).

Only L-Carnitine is biologically active,D-Carnitine, seen in some additives is not active.
Most dog foods contain enough Carnitine for maintenance but increased intake is necessary for the optimum mobilization and use of fatty acids in particular situations such as heavy muscular exercise, cold weather, myopathies or cardiac muscle deficiencies, or other stresses.

With ISULIK you’ll need to give a daily dose of 1cc per 17lbs during the training or recovery season and 2cc per 17lbs during race/competition times.

* L-Carnitine is commonly used in human sport medicine by marathon runners, bikers, and other sports that require long and continuous efforts.
