Egypt, Magali's trip

Hello,

This is the trip I want to do since I am very small.

I'd (and still is) very interested by the mysters and unsolve problems of Ancient Egyptians.

I guess going to Egypt is like Going to the Grand Canyon, you know it is going to be big and incredible but until you are face to it with your own eyes ! YOU CANNOT IMAGE...

I don't hav any pictures of the Human mummies, no pictures were allowed to be taken. They were breathtaking by the look on their faces and the mummification process which keep those bodies INTACT as of today!

Also no pictures of the toumbs on the King valleys or Artisan Valley, those painting are 4000 years old and let me tell you it seems they were made YESTERDAY. The people going in the toumb is numbered so the carbonmononide does not damage to much the painting and walls...

I can only tell you YOU SHOULD GO...

Enjoy my images.. Magali

Training before Iditarod

We did mostly camping trips with the dogs before Iditarod. The temperature are not to cold so it was nice.

We mostly ran on the Tanana River toward Nenana and then otward Old Minto. The trails are flat. Our dogs don't need to see any hills for a while they just went over enough of them in France, Oregon and Wyoming.

The post important is to make them understand to go slower. We are not in a stage race anymore and 12 miles per hours is good. Not 14mph!

When we camp we bring straw, food and water.

Jacques's new sled made by our friend Daniel Mellina in France who was the creator with his team of the Extrapole sleds. The new copagny is called ANTIPODE SLEDS.

The sled is inspired from the Jeff King "Old Men Sled" idea but with the kevlar skis from Extrapole, some modifications had been made and Jacques loves the sled.
